"Comes out of the tap a rich opaque sable with a decent tan head. Aroma is rich and smoky with a chocolate undertone and a hint of coffee. Flavor is thick and mouth-filling, smoky, chocolaty and coffee-ish, with a whisper of sweetness. Texture is smooth and lively, and aftertaste is delicious and like any good stout."

"Not sure who sent this to me (maybe Immy), so I'm not exactly sure but thank you!! Very nice beer. I'm also not clear as to the bottling date of this beer. Doesn't matter at this point, since all the '04 and beyond go here anyways.
The beer pours out a thick black hue with a resulting three finger thick, creamy tan head. The aroma is coffe, prunes, all-spice and smoke that gently faded into a very nice chocolate profile. Flavors are definitely drinker-friendly with clear coffee and chocolate notes and suprisingly a touch earthy/woody. The flavor reminded me slightly of eating a high quality chocolate candy. A really nice beer."

"Bottle from aracauna. Pours a ruby-brown color, fairly weak initial head disappaering to near nothing, not providing much lacing either. The aroma was nice bitter chocolate and roast. The flavor followed suit, more of a cocoa-choco type flavor, gently bitter roast, dry, slightly coffee-like acidic finish. Mouthfeel was excellent, nice body, thinned by the oatmeal, nothing sticky or sweet in this beer, yet nice drinking. Good stuff, Jacob, thanks."

"Bottle. Poured a blackish-brown color with a medium light-brown head. Nice lacing. Strong aroma of coffee and chocolate. Mouthfeel is good. Flavor was very chocolatey, with a coffee kick to the finish. I liked this beer, but it didn't set itself apart from other imperial porters."

"Poured with a thick marshmellow-like tan head that dissipated to a spotted film over the top. It left a fair amount of lacing to the glass as well. Aroma was of roasted malt with hints of chocolate. Almost black in color but with some burgandy tones to it when held up to the light. A very full bodied mouthfeel to it with a lot of chocolatey flavor with touches of coffee. Reminded me of an oatmeal stout as well as a porter. A very good mix in my opinion!"
