Not for the faint of heart. True India Pale Ales had to withstand long sea voyages before slaking the thirst of cranky British troops stationed in the heat of India. Bracing, bitter, higher in alcohol. Trademark Propeller quality. A full-bodied ale for full-throttle beer lovers. Drink fresh.

"Bottled@SBWF2007. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity and grassy hops with some hints of caramel malts. Flavour is hops, slightly sugary and grassy. Sligthly acidic citrus in aftertaste. "

"Bottle courtesy of Okbeer: Poured a dirty amber color ale with a nice white foamy head with good retention. Aroma of mild citrusy hops with a dry malt base. Taste of citrusy hops is lighter then expected with a malt base that is too dry and IMO would have profited from more caramel malt. Body is quite full with a low level of filtration which I appreciated and some medium carbonation. Interesting but a bit weak on the hops side for the style."

"Displays a deep orange amber in the glass...frothy 2 finger white cap with good retention and lacing.
Aromas of sweet bread and citrus.
Medium bodied decent malt spine, bright citrusy character, slick mouth feel.
Up front a rush of sweet crystal malts which are quickly balanced off with ample grapefruit and pine tastes from some 60 min. boil warrior and dry hopped amarillos ( great hop blend)....finish is wet and pleasantly bittering with a bready/metallic aftertaste.
A good solid craft IPA that sits somewhere between the milder session IPAs and the exterme hop bombs....goot hoppy character rich malts and decent drinkability.
