"A nice, dense-flavored IPA with good bitterness that is a little overshadowed by, rather than balanced by, sweetness. Warm amber with pleasant ivory head and some lacing, a little less brilliant than an IPA ought to be. Full-bodied and satisfying, reminiscent of the butterscotch smell of the pine it is named for. Marred by a very slight soapiness between taste and mouthfeel. "

"Pours with an orange body topped by a thin head with some lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet yet bitter and hoppy wtih a nice grapefruit and pine note...very nice. The flavor is slightly bitter with a little pine and very slight grapefruit notes. Medium bodied, smooth and a touch dry.
