"This pours very dark, almost black but not quite with a nice initial head that dies quickly. The aroma here is pleasant, oak, bourbon notes, plums, vanilla, and raisins. The beer tastes very good at first, oak, cherries, roasted dark chocolate, bourbon, dark fruit, then levels off to a somewhat dull finish. Gets better as it warms closer to room temperature though. Good beer. I'm going to call it an Imperial Porter. "

"Very nice beer here, and big thanks to mmm///beer for shipping it too me. If I didn’t know better, I would say this was very close to a stout or porter. The chocolatey aroma, rum raisins, figs, bourbon and molasses are all accentuated by the wood. A great looking beer in my Maudite glass, it does carry some deep garnet colors on the edges when held up to a bright enough light. A thick 3-finger light tan camp kept the beer under wraps. The flavors had the nice complexities that a good stout/porter can have. Chocolate, molasses, roasted malts, bourbon, dark fruits, oak....very nice beer. But an English Strong Ale? Let’s just call it good."

"Pours a nice dark black with a heady head. Head dissipates. Good lacing. Thin but snazzy mouthfeel. A little sweet and bitter all at the same time. Burnt choco coffee. Me thinks this one needs to cellar for awhile."

"Bottle. Poured a dark, purplish brown color with a nice brown head and strong lacing. Aroma was very pleasant, with a nice blend of roasted malts and oak. Mouthfeel was okay. Flavor wasn't as bold as I had expected, especially for the ABV. Hints of chocolate, oak, alcohol, toffee, and coffee. This was a nice big offering from New Holland."

"Dragon's milk poured with a very deep brown body, nearly black body topped off by a short lived creamy khaki colored head leaving little lace. The aroma is smokey with some sweet malts and hoppy tones coming through as well. Mouthfeel was light to medium bodied and smooth. The flavor is more mild than expected with some burnt malts, alcohol, floral hoppy tones and some light toffee flavors."
