The brown ale base, complex in itself , with the addition of raspberries both as a seasoning and a further fermentation, produces a beer with exceptional depth of flavor. Use of authentic fruit leads to a ripe seductiveness all the more alluring as the delicate notes are not overpowered. Available Thanksgiving through the holiday season.

"a little more tart than say...a Lost Coast Raspberry Brown, which is both good and bad. I think this beer is more complex (due to the secondary fermentation), but LC is richer. Overall, this was a pleasant, ruby-brown colored ale. Nice head retention, decent aroma, sweet mouthfeel and finish, but not overly so."

"This is just an average fruit beer that has a sweet raspberry flavor. I like that New Belgium tries out new beers like this one, but I probably won't be buying this variety again. It's worth a try though."

"I love the idea of this beer and I i think the flavor has changed over the years. This years batch was very tart instead of the melow sweetness in the years part. It amazing to smell and look at and used to be to drink. better luck next year. Maybe the raspberry crop will be better."

"Enjoyed this seasonal treat for the first time at Bro Todd's in Dallas. A delicious brown ale with raspberries. Reddish brown. Not sweet, more of a tart flavor. While fine on its own, this beer was made to accompany Christmas fudge. It cuts the dense, sweet chocolate, and complements it with the hint of raspberry. "
