Blue Paddle Pilsener, crafted with malt-only brewing and noble hops, explores the boundaries where American lagers seldom journey. Reflective of Europe's finest Pilseners, Blue Paddle delivers a refreshing bitterness, vibrant finish and a subtle but intricate depth of flavor. Unlike the old world examples, this landlocked Pilsener is only shipped within our small Western territory.

"This brew poured a pale golden color with a nice white head, pour head retention, fair lacing. Aroma was malty and grassy. Flavor was strong pils malts, grassy hops. Mouthfeel thin, light body, crisp, but not special."

"While visiting Denver I decided to check some local brews that are not available in Georgia. This is one I have never even heard of, so I had to try it.
Pours a nice transparent gold with a decent, fine-bubbled head. Aroma is strong and malty with a hint of fruit. Flavor is mouth-filling, mostly malty but with an appreciable hop component, and a hint of apple or pear. Texture is sassy, and overall this is a lip-smacking pilsner."

"This pilsner is no where close to the czech pilsners I've tried. The flavor is lacking, but it is smooth and drinkable. It would be good with a meal, but I wouldn't crack this open to just enjoy a beer."

"This beer pours tranlucent yellow with a white fizzy head that lasts a bit before settling to a thin film. The aroma is hops and grass with citrousy notes and spices. The mouthfeel is medium weight with a bunch of carbonation. The flavor is OK, but this really isn't my style so I can't say if it suits the style well. Lots of bitter hops in the flavor, with a citrous aftertaste and carbonation that tickles on the way down. I may rerate this when I've had some other beers in this style."

"A pretty golden color with a big head that settles down into a thin cap, ultimately leaving a spray (like what comes out of a fire extinguisher) of lacing/foam on the sides of the glass. Smells like malts and not much else. Tastes pretty much the same, the lightest sprinkle of hops right before you swallow. Finishes crisp and clear. A nice Pilsener, but I was expecting a little bit more from the NB folks. "
