"Picked this one up because it was on sale at Happy Harry's, Fargo; had no idea what to expect. Pours golden with thick white head, malty aroma and taste (similar to some Belgian dubbels I've sampled) with slightly sweet aftertaste. Surprisingly good beer--well balanced and refreshing, superior to many of the lagers I've had from American brewers. Would try this one again."

"Zamkowe doesn't deliver much more than a relatively smooth strong lager. I enjoyed it start to finish, found the aroma and color reminiscent of an ice brew, and the flavor to be not overpowering but still distinctly malted in character. "

"I picked this one up out of curiosity. It's nothing really special but i do think it is better than the average american lager. The aroma is sweet & malty. It has a nice sized white head after pouring, but it goes away quick and settles down to nothing. No lacing. It is not as thin as I expected after I poured it and watched the head disappear. It has a little body to it. The flavors are there, but I can't figure out what they are....mostly malts and some other grains or something?? Not much in the hops category which didn't surprise me. Like I said, it beats the heck out of most american lagers, but it's not that impressive. If it were a little more hoppier i might give it another shot. Average."

"The first thing you will notice from the bottle pour is that the head is big white and has excellent staying power on top of a light orange to dark yellowish hue. The aromas are big bold and malty which is typical of a lager style beer from Eastern Europe or Germany. On the buds, Rycerskie is has very mild malt notes that are not real overbearing or impressive. Almost grainy in nature with a smooth rice like quality, but not like Buttwiper. The finish is almost unnoticeable, too. All in all, not a bad beer from Poland. I would order it again, but I have had better from the lager style.

"Pour was a carmel orange and brown color with nothing special in the head or lacing. The aroma was earthy and malty. The flavor was much of the same and I had no idea that this was 7% while drinking it. Somewhat sweet and lacking a hop balance, I wasn't much impressed with this one."
