The result is a discrete coffee aroma that mixes with the slightly burnt licorice aromas from the dark malts combined with spices. The flavor is slightly sweet with an average palate and moderate bitterness and aftertaste.

"A black apperance with a small beige to tan head. The aroma consists of molasses, chocolate, and raisins. I didnt really smell licorice but I sure do taste it. I also pick up on some molasses, dark fruit, and chocolate. A rather syrupy finish to this one. Overall I really enjoyed this beer!"

"Bottled. Black colour, mediumsized brown bubbly head, which turns into a small steady head above the beautiful liquid. Strong coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla and some syrup in the nose. Flavour is strong dark coffee, some smoked wet wood and roasted malts. The finish gets quite roasted malty, coffeeish as well as some minor notes of dark dry fruits. "

"Black with a small brown head. Nice aroma of black chocolate and espresso. Reasted coffee beans, spices, hay and chocolate in flavour. Long well roasted finish. Good stout."
