A very special beer for a very special event. Inspired by the history and lore of both cross-country skiing and the international flavor of the American Birkebeiner ski race, we have developed a well-balanced festival brew. Featuring both honey and maple syrup as fermentables, it also highlights Vienna and light caramel malts. This combination produces a uniquely colored and flavored beer. Moderately hopped, this beer has an estery aroma (fruity), you can pick up the honey and maple syrup flavors as it finishes crisp and clean. Raise a glass to our international visitors and marvel at the athleticism of the participants, By the way, enjoy one for yourself.

"This beer on draught at the brewpub poured a light copper color with virtually no head. The nose was faintly sweet, and the flavors were most intriguing. Can't say as I could have identified them as maple syrup and honey, but it sure made this an interesting and very drinkable brew. Low hops, and a clean, crisp, malty-sweet finish."
