[1] Review by Chopz from Cantley, Canada who has tried this beer once. (1/28/2007 5:50:43 PM)
"This apple stout pours a dark colour, but with more red highlights than most stouts. Good mildly-tanned head with decent retention and beautiful creamy lacing. Light molasse nose with a small amount of sourness in the background. Hard to smell any apples at this level. Nice thick mouthfeel which is kind of oily. The taste is different, but not offensive. Start on a sour note, but hits the sweetness in the middle, where the apples are lightly tasted. Then, burnt and roasted malts show up in the aftertaste. I guess, not quite a stout (and by no means do they advertise it to be a stout). More, like a porter with light fruits juices thrown in."
