"This ale is black, not brown, with a good head that does fade. Smells hoppy and coffee-like. Medium-bodied and not-so-smooth. There are strong chocolate and coffee flavors and the finish is quite bitter. "

"Sampled on draft at the brewery. Pours dark brown with good clarity. Nice lacing but has a small head. Floral aroma is followed by a roasted malt and strong butterscotch flavor. A good brown ale."
