"BIG, chewy goodness. They hit the nail on the head with this one. They do "big" beers well. This has all the attributes one looks for in an imperial stout, nothing bad. One of the best, but it doesn't age as well as hoped."

"Bottle shared by bfeldmann. Pour was full dark black body, ok tan-colored head. The aroma was full chocolate, some roast, piney hops. The flavor followed suit, bitter chocolate notes, though, dark fruits, and a definite full hop finish in flavor. Mouthfeel was moderate to full for the style. Decent brew."

"Beer pours dark as night...some head and lacing, but nothing outstanding. The aroma is that of chocolate. The flavor is dominated by milk chocolate and sweet booziness (is that the sherry?). The coffee and burnt flavors are present, but not very prevalent. Not overly bold. It's okay, but nothing I'd run out looking for, honestly."

[5] Review by ante from Stockholm, Sweden who has tried this beer once. (3/7/2008 6:55:42 AM)
"Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in an almost black colour with a dark brown edges. Small but lasting pale brown head. Big aroma of tar, black chocolate, raisins, citrousy hops and black coffee. Full and chewy flavour of black chocolate, espresso, resin, prunes, pepper and citrousy hops with touches of smoke. Full-bodied. Bitter finish of black chocolate nutshells, peppery alcohol, pines and black coffee. Big and bold US Impy"
