We produce a traditional styled Irish Stout that is served using beer gas to produce that familiar creamy pour. Our black stout has a roasted malt flavour and a hint of toasted walnuts and choclate in the finish. Select imported hops are used to dry out the finish of this ale.

"This is a beautiful looking black beer. A true stout. The aroma is rather weak, although there is some definite coffee hints. The mouthfeel is disappointing as well, weaker than a stout should be. The flavour is also somewhat watered down, matching the mouthfeel."

"Another very fine pour from the Mill Street people. A dark beer with a great coffee aroma (A theme with Mill Street?). Not being a stout lover, this beer was a pleasant surprise. A full-bodied creamy mouthfeel that was hugely satisfying. The hoppy flavour isn;t as bitter as some hoppy brews I've tried, and that alone adds to the pleasantness."

"650ml bomber
Poured a hazey honey colored ale in the glass with a decent 2 finger sticky cap... good retention and great lacing qualities.
Aroma: half way to a Pacific NW IPA; some citrus from cascades but also some musty grassy cedar tones from fuggles, and other Brit varieties...all with a big caramel-toffee malt undertone.
Profile: Big chew on juicy citrus rind hops and toffee malts in the front side....mid palate some woody-earth notes, cedar, walnut skins, toast...finish throws the balance off to slightly favor the hops but it is subtle enough and the malts are thick enough it is not a problem.
Covers the alcohol completely...a big malty-hoppy IPA..very flavourful, satisfying and drinkable..well done"

"Black pour, ruby hues when brought to life. Good amount of thick creamy head, and it shows in the mouthfeel. Medium bodied but oh so smooth and creamy. Aroma is heavy on the coffee, much akin to the flavour. The hops present the right amount of bitterness for a stout and it stays on the tongue. Nothing out of this world, but good stout none the less."
