"Pours out in a opaque dark brown appearance with a low tan head. A big whiff of smoke in the aroma with notes of wood, salty licorice, black pepper, caramel and alcohol. Full-bodied with strong warm notes of smoke and salmiak. Sugary undertones of burnt sugar and sweet licorice. Full-bodied with a moderate carbonation. Smoke, gun-powder, brown sugar and Ancho -pepper in the long aftertaste. Funny beer in small amounts. "

"250 ml bottle, shared with Ole_R, thx! ABV was 11.5%. "Imperial Rauchbier / Rauchwine" brewed with honey, and stored 3 months in a new oak barrel. Deep copper coloured beer, low beige head. Intense aroma of smoke and oak. The flavour is very smoky and oaky as expected, with notes of charcoal, but is also surprisingly fruity and sweet with notes of raisins and fortified wine."
