This is the first beer in Mikkellers spring/summer 2006 german adventure. It's a rauchbier brewed on german rauchmalt and peated malt only. It's fermented like a California Common.

"courtesy of Papsoe - pours a cloudy and very dark brown colour under a big creamy beige head; solid aroma of smoked meat; the mouthfeel is soft and clean, relatively thin; more smokiness in the aftertaste where notes of butter show up - the smokiness does not play well together with the other elements of the beer"

"Hazy reddish brown with large firm beige head. Smooth smokey aroma of tar and ham with chocolately undertones. Sounds wierd but is quite delicius (I promise). Well-balanced and smooth smokey flavour of tar and salt. with sweet notes of toffee and biscuit. Mellow aftertaste of grass, biscuit, toffee and subtle smoke. Very interesting beer. Thanks to Jeppe for this one!"

"Thanks to sk8viking for this beer.
I like it. It’s a very nicely done smoked beer. Beautiful smokey aroma along w/ a smokey, but not overpowering flavor, it’s very enjoyable. "
