"Bottle from Julio’s Liqour in Mass. Pours with an opaque, black body topped by a brown, thick head with lots of lacing. It’s slighlty sweet and roasty as hell with bitter chocolate notes and a bitter hoppiness. Full bodied, smooth and a touch dry."

"Bottle courtesy of Hogtownharry: Poured a pitch-black color ale with a medium dark brown foamy head with good retention. Aroma of bitter hops and roasted malt is quite dominating and some faint chocolate notes may be hiding being this. Taste is dominating by bitter citrus hops and leaves little place to the roasted chocolate malt. Body is slightly above average with some good carbonation and no alcohol was discernable."

"Pours tawny black, chocolat milk colour head. Incredible appearence with fine, little bubbles. Strong, strong aroma packed with stern 'stout' smell. Very nice roastness. Not as many individual flavours pop out as with others in the style. Flavour, as a whole, well rounded, complete and pretty full bodied. I can detect oatmeal? Thickness leads to a great lasting mouthfeel. Nothing complex here (especially given other RIS) as many flavours absent (ie, coffee) or alltogether distant, but for what this is - pretty damn good! This is very much in the Enlgish style or Imperial Stouts, the English hops overcoat the profile. Very true to the English style of doing things. On the whole, this beer relies on little else and holds it own. Thank you Dr.Jay. "

"A black appearance with a beige head. A chocolate and dark fruit aroma. The flavor contains a lot of chocolate, raisins, and coffee. The finish is somewhat bitter and it hides the alcohol very well. Overall this was pretty good.
