White Hawk Original IPA was launched in California in early 2002 to meet the demand for a unique India Pale Ale. Our Brewmasters created this IPA based on the original recipe and the result is perfection. White Hawk Original IPA has a rich distinctive hop character and bold malt flavor. This Select IPA has a unique aroma, a clean finish and is brewed to satisfy connoisseurs the world over. We’ve blended American West Coast Cascade Hops with a very generous dose of English Fuggle Hops. This combination makes for a very aromatic character, as well as a truly authentic English flavor which you must taste to believe. “Hopheads” will love this brew!

"consistancy prevents me from putting this one at the top...at one point a few years ago it was my favorite ipa (pre stone), but over the years Mendocinos quality has tailed off...not as big and hoppy as it used to be, but still good."

"I love birds so the packaging is a draw. The Mendocino line has not disappointed me yet. Bottled from a sample pack. Aroma of hops and grass. Crisp and bitter, with a bite on the palate. A good IPA. It’s simplicity that makes this one so good. The body os a clear, crisp amber. There’s a healthy white head on pour and it lingers for awhile. Moderate maltiness in the nose and taste. There’s citrus and a good compliment of hops that make this one a good summer quaff"

"This brew is average on all scales except color. The color is more orange than the average IPA, my basis of average IPA comes from sirerra nevada. The aroma is pretty heavy on the hops. The lacing leaves no lace but does hang around for the duration of the beer. The mouhfeel is pretty medium bodied and the flavor is floral and and filled with hops. Overall it is a good brew."

"one of the stranger more undertoned IPA's around... citrus and medicinal hop flavours... low head and lacing for an IPA ... light golden orange colour (some haziness) ... not a bad level of bitterness but seems just abit out of balance with the malt ... overall: an OK beer but falls sort of of a good everyday brew, must be better on tap! "Poured a nice golden color with a firm head. Had a pleasent aroma of hops and pine. Nice round mouthfeel with enjoyable flavors of hops, malt, and a nice malt backbone."
