OK, so it's not exactly a light mead. I guess Medovina meads just want to be bold and brassy. It's about 12% alcohol and is chock full of body and mouth feel. There are notes of honey, lemon and pepper (in that order). The finish is delightfully refreshing with citrus tartness. It is best served well chilled. As it warms up in your glass, flavor profiles shift a bit which creates interest.

"This one is pretty different from the others. It’s perfectly clear, very pale gold with a slightly green tint that’s barely perceptible. The aroma less pure honey than some of the others, lime zest with an almost chile pepper twist all followed up by a wood resin like kick that I’m not sure I fully enjoy. There’s a surprising bitterness in the finish that I’m not used to in a mead. Very interesting mead, this one."
