This is a medium sweet mead. It has not only a sweet finish, but also an immediate sweet taste as it engages your palate. The closest wine analogies would range between an Kabinett Riesling on the low end of the sweetness range to an Auslese Riesling on the upper end of the range. If you like white wines with a sweet finish, you may find that this is a good place to start your mead tasting adventures.

"This one was a cloudy yellow color. Some honey and hay in the aroma. The flavor contains honey with a bit of spice present. The palate is a little on the thin side. The alcohol really shows up in the aftertaste. Overall this was an ok mead. "

"This doesn’t have the complexity of some of the others. This is a 2004 bottle I got from the owner (by way of my sister. There’s a peachy fruitiness, light sweetness, and a noticeable acidity, but I wouldn’t say sour. Nutmeg. A burn after the swallow that surprised me. A bit watery on some sips."
