"This poured a brownish black color with a tan head. The aroma contains coffee, chocolate, raisins, and caramel. The flavor contains cappuccino, caramel, raisins, and chocolate. This one is very well balanced. The finish has a hint of sourness to it. Overall a very nice porter"

"11.2 oz bottle. Pours brown with red highlights and has a large fizzy, rocky off white head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet chocolate, grains, lactose and lots of coffee.
The flavor is sweet chocolate malts with lots of roasted, slightly acidic (more so as it warms), coffee. It has a dry, slightly bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with sharp carbonation.
Overall, a pleasant surprise. This is a nice coffee beer. Initially it's a nice blend of sweet chocolate and coffee. As it warms, it becomes a little too acidic."

"Brown, low bubbly beige foam. Simplistic coffee aroma with some roasted undertones. Flavour of roasted coffee beans, hints of vanilla and sugar. Cocoa and coffee in the finish. Lifeless body and unbalanced."

"Dark brown pour, but not opague, red highlights. Decent head and lacing. Weak aroma of metallic chocolate. Mouthfeel of chalky chocolate. Flavor was chocolate coffee, a slight metallic twinge, some milky notes and a certain dusty flavor that reminds me of a grandparents basement. The bitter acidic astringency was strong, but strangely not unpleasant. I liked this beer...worth seeking out and trying."

"If you don't bother reading the rest of this review, let me sum up my thoughts with one word....delicious. You can go on your way now. But if you decided to stick around and read my thoughts on this beer...thanks.
The beer pours out a solid black stream from the very unique bottle. First whiff and I'm a bit confused. Confused because frankly, there wasn't hardly any aroma! No aroma for a coffee porter? What's going on? I keep hitting the aroma and finally, after a bit of warming up some metallic chocolate character comes out (kinda like sniffing Hersheys baking chocolate out of a metal tin). Really not much coffee in the aroma, so it gets a few points off. Appearance is excellent, a dark brown color, transparent with ruby around the edges and a nice beige head. Flavor is ground coffee beans, a touch sour, a bit chocolatey but aside from those flavors I got nothing else. Still, I did enjoy the beer immensley and would definitely pick it up again. One of the few coffee beers where it doesn't taste like 2-day old coffee grounds sitting in a rubber waste basket."
