This golden bitter uses fresh Cascade hops in modest amounts to create a more subtle hop flavor and bitterness than its big brother, Hammerhead. Nebraska Bitter was first brewed at the Fulton Pub & Brewery, located in Southwest Portland. This crisp and flavorful ale has become a standard attraction at McMenamin's taps everywhere.
Malts: Pale Malt; 40L Crystal Malt

"I drank three of these in Tigard, Oregon where they were as fresh as could be and they are awesome. The brew pub was called John Barleycorns. Absolute class act."

"Medium orange color. Aroma is malty and fruity. A medium bodied bitter. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are slightly bitter. Very mild flavors, more sweet than bitter, but still a decent drinkable bitter. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter."

"Served at Thompsons Brewpub,Salem Gold in clour, looks more like a golden ale than a trad. bitter. Very lackluster aroma, some hops maybe. Not a very exciting taste, some malt sweetness to begin then the cascade hops show through in the end. Rather easy to drink but sort of boring."
