A classic German style lager, Oktoberfest has a rich toasted malt character with a clean dry finish. Oktoberfest is traditionally brewed in March (Marzen), laid down to age through the summer then joyfully served during the Oktoberfest celebration in the early fall.

"Tis' the season for oktoberfest brews. The aroma of this one is very sweet and malty, as well as, bready-like with maybe some very slight bitter notes. The appearance is a rusty orange to copper amber in color with a medium sized head that diminishes leaving uneven lacing on the glass that is off-white in color. The mouthfeel is light to medium in body with decent malty complexity and has relatively good balance with a pallet that is a bit thin. The flavor is very sweet and malty with some breadiness and faint hops with an aftertaste that is strange and is bitter to sour-like and almost unpleasant with a finish that is refreshing and pretty good but a bit watery. Overall, this is not a bad oktoberfest but I have had much better and the sourness factor is strange but, nonetheless, this is a brew to sample and to experience. Also, this one seems a bit too bitter for the style but, afterall, it is an American representation"

"Pours a rich, semi-transparent mahogany with a fairly thick light tan head. Aroma is malty and hoppy and has an undertone of spice, mainly cloves. Flavor is mouth-filling and mainly malty and a little spicy. Texture is smooth and very pleasant. A fine fall beer."

"The color was a clear medium brown and a decent head. The aroma was surprisingly hoppy. The flavor has a good malt caramel base but I wouldn't call it really malty. The hops came in with a crisp bitterness that made this a very drinkable Oktoberfest."
