"This is one of those beers that you know you won’t rate about a four, but you have to admit that you really enjoyed. This is the quintessential session beer. Attractive color, it’s a true amber, and crystal clear, with a head that could pass for nitrogen dispensed if I didn’t know better. The aroma is slight - a little malt and a little hops. The flavor is perfectly balanced. There isn’t the chewy maltiness that is present in my top-ranked ambers that pushes them close into brown ale territory, but there is this nice clean caramel malt flavor, that enough to tease and keep you interested without being enough to tire you out after a few. The hops sneak up on you. I didn’t notice them at the first few sips, but as I drank, they grew and grew to the point that there was a distinct herb grapefruit peel hoppiness standing out and complementing the clean malt nicely. A beautiful little beer that I wouldn’t mind having more of."
