"Dark amber color. Small head. Aroma is malty, sweet and fruity. A medium bodied barleywine. Malts are nutty and sweet. Hops are spicy. Nicely balanced. Very smooth taste. Touches of orange and vanilla. Nice beer, but the salty finish kind of ruins everything else. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and salty."

"beautiful reddish color with a thin tan head. malty up front flavor, but unfortunately had a salty finish, which really disappointed me. had this on tap at pizza port's 2003 strong ale fest"

"What a nice name this brew brings with it. Actually pretty damn good for a barleywine. Wasn't over jagered in the flavor, kinda smooth and hid the alcohol well. Not bad at all."
