The result of mystical exhortation and stranger portents in the sky. Humble Patience, our Irish-style Red Ale, is conjured forth from the fundamental elements of nature intended for those moments of spiritual freedom when artifice is finally abandoned. Humble Patience is complex without being heavy... a marriage of many riches. An Irish-Style, deep ruby Red Ale with tantalizing layers of flavor that dance across the tongue from sip to swallow. (This beer was retired in 2005 after 12 years of brewing since 1993.)

"Dark ruby brown, good creamy beige head. Soft aroma of chocolate, butter and smoke. Grass, butter, toffee and licorice in flavour. Ends rather weak with a note of fudge."

"07.26.04 Bottle. Brown color; big, sticky head; lots of lace. Nutty, bready aroma reminds me of walking into a sandwich shop where they bake their own rolls. Other aromas of mulch, weak coffee, fresh apple butter. Palate is smooth and soft, only lightly eff. Highly drinkable. Flavors are rahter subtle, some peat, some spice, lightly roasty malts. I get some light coffee (like in the nose) and a touch more of the apple butter. Not sweet, only mildy bitter. Finishes with a dry peat quality."

"Medium brown color. Small to medium head. Aroma is fruity, malty and rather sweet. A medium bodied Irish Red Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet and somewhat roasty. Hops are spicy and floral. Nice roasty malt flavors. Touch of orange and spice here as well, must be the yeasts. Well balanced. Smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter."

"Bottle: Poured a medium black color ale with a medium head that disappeared way too fast. Aroma is comprised of roasted malt (probably some oatmeal). Taste is also dominated by roasted malt, so much that I almost though I was drinking a light stout, and the end was also bitter. Overall, this is an average beer that seems to sit between two style (Irish ale and dry stout)."
