"This beer comes courtesy of eyedrinkale at the welcome visitors gathering at obriens last night. The pour is a reddish brown color with a mildly small but quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is all raspberries...maybe some malt, but trust me, this smells just like raspberries...very nice, sweet and perfect for a ridiculously cold night. Then i tasted it...and this made the largest 180 I have EVER tasted...astoundingly good aroma, and then a monstrosity of putrification in my mouth upon taste. As JohnC put very well, this nearly emancipated my stomach contents from my body... the tongue curdling raspberry sweetness was putrid....way overdone and simply astringent in all respects. Dry finish, simply obtrusive flavor....smelling it is about the only good quality of this beer...that and the awesome bottle...other than that, tasting it will only relieve constipation in my opinion."

"2003... Poured a black color with a small, tan head that left light lacing on the glass. Both the aroma and the tastes were full of chocolate covered cherries, with a faint roastiness as well. The sweet chocolate and cherries stopped just before the cloying point."

"Very, very nice. These Humdinger series beers have yet to disappoint me. Pours a dark inky black with 2 fingers of dense brown head. Aroma is sweet, smoky chocolatey, with strong raspberry notes. Flavor starts sweet raspberry, chocolate, smoky coffee, roasty, finishes strong smoky roasted flavors, and more raspberry notes. Very nice stuff, I just wish they could lower the price a bit."
