"Tasted at the 5th Annual (2008) Triple Rock Firkin Fest. This brown ale pours a medium brown color from the firkin. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is diacetyl and iced tea and then some malty butter. A medium bodied brown ale. ARGH, I am not overly sensitive to diacetyl, but geez you could smell the butter across the very crowded room. The malts are caramel, ice tea and diacetyl. The hops are earthy. How can you make a brown ale that is such a total train wreck as this beer. I had to wash my tasting glass in hot water twice to get rid of the butter. Horrid beer. "

"On tap at Lodi Beer Co. - This was easily my favorite beer of the night from Lodi Beer Co. A easy aroma of light hops, and honey/sweet malts. Unfortunately, it did have a bit of tea character but not too much. Appearance was amber in color. Mouthfeel was light, clean with a nice finish. Flavors were sweet, minimally hoppy with a nice caramel finish. A really nice session beer I think. Best of the night."
