"On tap at Lodi Beer Co. - This was just awful. If you ever want a beer to show someone how bad a porter can be, this might just be the one to do it. An ashy aroma, with a ton of black patent coming out in the nose and palate. The appearance was average, dark with deep brown highlights. Mouthfeel was watery thin, overly carbonated and harsh. Flavor was black patent with none of the coffee or dark chocolate characteristics it describes. This was like licking an ashtray if that were ever to be done."
