A wheat beer in the classic style. We produce this beer in the Crystal Weissen tradition, as a filtered wheat beer. This effervescent beer has clove and banana esters and a smooth as honey finish. Best served with a squeeze of lemon. A great companion for Sunday Brunch here on the Gulf Coast.

"poured a crystal clear yellow color with a pretty decent white foam head...I liked this beer more than i thought i would. It had a aroma of nana and a hint of spice. The actual taste was less hefe than the aroma, however it felt a little to bubbly on the mouthfeel. Decent taste to it and I look foward to killing this pig with Dansting and Timmy."

"Poured a golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of bananas and cloves. Flavor much like a hefe which I am not a fan of. Nice citrus undertone. I'm not a fan of the weizen style so I won't be drinking this again."

"From a Party Pig brought to me by a friend's mom who is from Mississippi. Poured a clear golden color with a light white head. No lacing. Aroma of clove. Nice mouthfeel. Flavor was different for me. It had both citrus and banana flavor to it, which I wasn't expecting (I didn't know the style before I drank it and don't think I had a krystal weizen before). This was okay, I guess. I would drink this if offered, but nothing I would go to Mississippi to try."

"Color was on the deeper side for a German Hefe (a slight bit more amber tone to it than others of its class). Bummer that this was filtered. These Lazy Mags haven't hit on appearance, but I guess they swapped this to a kristalweizen. No head and lacing was miserable (way out of character for Hefe). I thought to myself, boy, this isn't going to be good if it really is a wheat beer. However, the flavor was outstanding, coriander, some orange peels, other light citrus, even some cloves, all over top of the wheat (any candi sugar? this almost tasted like a Wit). Near mid-glass the alcohol also became detectable, leading me to think this was higher than average. Solid mouthfeel and somewhat sweet overall flavor."

"The description on their website was written before they got their beers on the market. In the end, they decided to filter this and make it a kristalweizen for reasons such as keeping the yeast from scaring people away and issues with the yeast settling in the keg. Still, it’s a tasty little beer with respectable bubblegum esters. It’s on the darker side of the weizen group, but nothing so dark as to kick it out of style."
