A pre- modern non hopped style ale, brewered before hops were discovered to have anti-microbiol properties. This ale is medium to light bodied, amberto light brown in color, almost no bitterness. Made using heather, a flower from a bush grown in Scotland. The heather gives this ale a nice subtle herbal character and aroma

"On tap at the brewery. Light brown in color and a small white head. Bananas and carmel in the aroma. A bitter herby taste as well as some malts in the taste. Not shabby
