"Growler from the Manchester, CT site. Pours a dark reddish black with a steady tan head. Aroma is strong chocolate and espresso, grassy hops, and some underlying molasses and caramel sweetness. Flavor starts with sweet molasses, turning wonderfully roasty, burnt chocolate, strong coffee, and dry grass. These growlers disappear quickly... I'm definitely noticing the coffee notes more in this newest batch, and I dig it. Very nice lager from JH's."
