"Online order. The overall experience was excellent. Their website isn't flashy but gets the job done and is easy to use. The shipping rates, which are available right on the website, are very reasonable and certainly no more than it would cost me to ship the same box. They called to confirm the day after I placed the order and shipped that day. Email confirmation with tracking as well. From California to Florida the entire transaction was done in a week. Selection/Quality is excellent with some of those west coast brewers, such as AleSmith and Port Brewing, I can't get here. I can definitely recommend their mail order system! "

"I'm rating this as a mail order place, since that's my only interaction with them. Their online store is great, the format very easy to use. The selection is enormous and their service great. I accidentally put the order on my corporate credit card and after it arrived I called them and they reversed it and put it on my personal card (phew!). I'll definitely order from these guys again one day."

"On the advice of fellow beer drinkers who suggested this place, I scoped it out while vacationing in SoCal with the family. INCREDBIBLE selection of beer in the beer cooler. Mike was fantastic and knowledgeable about the stock and made some nice suggestions. If you are in the area YOU MUST check it out. I dropped $150 and could have spent much more!"

"What can I say that my esteemed fellow SoCal'ers haven't already said about this place? This is simply a *must visit* if you are anywhere within an one hour's driving radius to Costa Mesa (or farther, and make it a road-trip!). Either way, the walk-in cooler, with shelf after shelf of awesome and often times quite rare Belgian beers is reason alone to trek here (e.g. `96 Cantillon Gueze, anyone?). But throw in the fact that the place always has rare British bottle-conditioned Real Ale, a huge selection of German and East European beers, interesting selections from Asia, and a massive selection of local, regional, and West Coast craft beers.... It's not at all hard to spend upwards of $100 here. The be-all and end-all of beer stores in Southern California, bar-none.

"The place is awesome. They have lots and lots of beers. Good selections of both Belgian and German brews as well as the normal good selection of US West Coast micros. I just wonder what the selection would be like if they spent half the effort on getting beer that they do on wine.."

"Moslems go to Mecca; Beer Geeks go to Hi Time.
This is the premier beer store in Southern California. The selection is excellent. The staff, particularly Mike McCullah, is very knowledgeable. They have monthly beer tastings too. Their selection of micros, Belgian, German and other world class beers is stellar.
One thing I particularly like is that you can buy beer buy the bottle and build your own six pack. This way, you can try before investing in a sixer."
