A dark beer with notes of smoke and tar (compare to smoked whiskey). The beer is known as "Rauchbier" in Germany. Perfect to the sausage and the ham after the fishing nets has been put out. Is gaining on being aged in it's barrel.

"Dark amberish brown colour, small beige head. Smoke and malts in aroma along with some caramellish hints. Smoky and malty flavour. Long smoked aftertaste. Pleasant, but not too special. "

"(sampled draught at MacInlay’s Inn, Stockholm, Sweden) Clear reddish brown, small creamy white head.. Smokey aroma, hints of tar and ham. Soft and malty flavour with a growing smokiness. Burnt wood, tar and smoked ham. Smokey but a bit thin aftertaste. A decent take on the Bamberg style rauchbiers."
