Our strongest brew ever, we avenge the Marquis’ loss of troops in his cunning escape from Barren Hill. This barleywine—style ale was brewed solely with imported English ingredients. Complex and immense, fruit aromas of apples, pears and raisins blend with caramel, toffee, maple, and hints of bittersweet chocolate flavors. Also known as Lafayette's Revenge.

"Poured a reddish brown color. A very sweet flavor with some molasses, raisins, oranges, and cherries. The alcohol is well hidden. The aftertaste is somewhat sour and warming. A good one! "

"2003... Poured a deep purple color with a thin, light tan head that left no lacing on the glass. Aroma of chocolate, raisins, toffee, dried fruits and port. Taste was sweet and fruity, more toffee and caramel, with light hop bitterness and alcohol in the finish."
