Introducing OktoberFish tm Lager. It's our first new beer in a bit and it's also our first lager: It's OktoberFish! Not your ordinary Octoberfest beer, the O'Fish has a nice reddish color and a savory malt profile from the German malts. It also has a nice hop snap at the end. OktoberFish is available only on draft and only for a short time so ask for it at your local pub.

"09.03.04 12oz bottle. Very handsome pour - dark teakwood brown with red and gold highlights. The head is thick and white and, while fading, leaves a smattering of lace. Aromas are toasty malts, salty, bready - almost alt-ish. The palate is light to medium bodied, sticky with malts; slight tart quality shows up front. Hops on finish distinguish this beer from alt, to me, but not necessarily as an oktoberfest. Nevertheless, this is a great East Coast take on a traditional German style."

"Okay...it wasn't skunky, but something is just not right. The beer looked beautiful. Okay, now that I got that out of the way...the beer smelled awful...like dirty old sweatsocks. eaglefan538 said it didn't taste as bad as it smelled, but he lied. It tasted exactly like it smelled...like old sweaty socks. Nasty."

"Poured a light amber-brownish-reddish with a small head that didn't lace well. The aroma was just off. No idea how to describe it, other than the fact that it was just off. The flavor was caramel, malty, some sort of odd spicing and a tad nutty. Just not a good combination. Bad stuff."
