Silver City was the city that challenged Helena for the Sanders County capital seat in 1865. Our California Common style beer is named after the "steam" boat that used to traverse the length of Flathead Lake at the turn of the 20th century, the Silver City Steamboat. The craft later sank in a storm outside of Bigfork Bay. Our Silver City is light amber in color and medium bodied. There is a noticeable degree of caramel-type malt character in flavor and often in aroma. Hop bitterness impression is medium to medium high are balanced with a low to medium-low degree of fruity esters and malt character and give an impression of balance and an overall drinkability.
