The winner of Baltimore Magazine’s “Best Beer in Baltimore 1998.” We’d like to thank the smooth, roasted malt flavor. The mild hop presence. The little people.

"Pours a dark brown with red highlights. There is a caramel maltiness and some hops in the aroma. It is lightly sweet from its malty flavor. The flavor lingers after the swallow."

"Easily the best beer available (at the time) at DuClaw. I am sure there are others that are a little better, but I liked this amber a lot! Very dark amber, lots of character. Aroma was sweet and taste was mild with a bit of a kick. Quite good!"
