"Had this on tap at Rehobath, cognac glass, very nice after dinner, smooth, nice depth of flavor, an aquired taste, just what the barley wine drinker ordered and put a smile on his face..."

"pours a clear reddish amber color with a thin off white head. aroma reminds me of wine. aged in a oak comes to mind. flavor is sweet, smoky and spicy with a banana flavor hidden in there. the alcohol is there and makes you warm inside but is not overpowering. overall a nice brew and very worth trying."

"Pours reddish-brown from the bottle with a small white head. At first it smelled a lot like a pint of wine...the more I get my nose in there it's sweet with licorice, vanilla, and grapes. The taste is smoky, with earthy and nutty undertones. It's like drinking whiskey. The alcohol hits in the aftertaste. A very nice barleywine."

"Pours true brown with small, lasting head. Lightly smoky malt and earth notes dominate the aroma. The flavor is also smoky with a maple-licorice, sweet finish. Interesting combonation of tastes. Medium bodied with effervescent carbonation."
