This noble winter beer is brown in colour with flaming red highlights. It has a complex aroma of fruits, alcohol and hops. Its taste is delicately sweet and liquor-like with a hint of burnt caramel. The aftertaste is accentuated by the wonderful flavour of hops.

"This brewery has a winter solstice ale and spring equinox ale. Somebody certainly cares about their seasonal offerings. The Winter Solstice ale is a dark reddish brown ale with a tan head. The aroma is sweet caramel flavours with some sugar. The flavour is a little on the sweet side as well, too sugary for my tastes."

"Pours out in a deep ruby brown colour with a small beige head. Intense fruity and malty aroma of figs, baked apples, caramel, cocoa, raisin and chocolate. Full and smooth flavour of figs, vanilla, caramel and dades with notes of cocoa nd alcohol. Long malty finish of caramel, chocolate and figs. Nice one!
