"Aroma is malty sweet with some caramelization as well as some bready notes with some light hopy bitter coming through. Appearance is a golden-bronze in color when held to the light with a medium-sized head on top that is bubbly as well as off-white in color and remains leaving sticky, fuzzy lacing on the glass. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with some decent complexity as well as malty balance with a palate that is wet-like but a tad dry on the backend and is good. Flavor is of some spicy hops as well as some malty and toasty notes with an aftertaste that is sweet and crisp and a finish that is more hoppy than malty with some dryness you find in some pale ales or an imperial pils. Overall, interesting creation here for sure and seems to be a pale ale in nature but it is billed as a lager on the bottle; I probably would recommend this solid brew for sure... "

"This strong lager pours a light gold color from a 22oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is floral hops, biscuty malts and some alcohol. A medium bodied Strong Lager. The malts are biscuty and caramel. The hops are floral, piney and grapefruity. It’s kind of sweet, and sort of reminds me of a malt liquor. It doesn’t have any of the weird adjunct flavors, but it has that high gravity alcohol feel to it. Think of it as a hoppy malt liquor. Fairly lively carbonation. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with a fairly prominent alcohol aftertaste. "

"A vigorous pour produces a finger and a half thick, light tan colored head. The beer is a brilliantly clear, copper color that shows a bright, concentrated gold color when held up to the light; this is clear beyond the usual clear too, this must have been heavily filtered. The aroma is quite hop focused and has a mix of citrus and spice notes to it. There is also a touch of sweet, caramelized malt to it. Aromas of candied orange zest mixes with unspecified holiday spice notes and a nutty, lightly toasted malt character.
Lightly sweet tasting, but there is ample hop character that tends to dry this beer out. A biting, herbal bitterness is evident from the get go and lingers through to the long finish of this beer. Light malt notes of toasted biscuits, and even a soft nuttiness peek through the aggressive hop character. The flavor is quite herbal, though in quite a clean way. This is not nearly as sweet tasting or hop-flavored (e.g. the citrus) as the aroma would have suggested. And despite having a medium body to it, the overall beer is perceived as fairly dry (thanks to the biting hop character). Very clean and lager like; the filtration helps with this too. As the beer warms up a bit some soft citrus notes start to become noticeable.
An interesting beer, I am not exactly sure what it is trying to be, but I don't think it really does it for me regardless. There is nothing wrong with this beer, but the flavors just don't quite work for my particular palate.
