Our original brew! A smooth and easy drinking example of a northern English type of draft MILD BROWN ALE. It is brewed with a large portion of chocolate malts and a delicate touch of Fuggles hops. Although dark in color, it is sweet and balanced and will disappear from your glass quicker than a wisp of steam in the wind. 12 degrees P

"Came a dark brown, with a finger of thick dark tan head. Aroma was sweet, chocolaty and caramel. Flavor started with sweet caramel and chocolate with hints of sweetened grain, then turned lightly roasty, and a bit smoky. Finishes full with hints of grassy hops, but not enough to overpower the sweetness and roastiness of this beer. Not a bad beer, but I don't think this will ever be the best beer on tap at City Steam."
