"Black in color with hidden, dark red highlights. Yields a medium brown head with good lacing. The aroma is of roasted malt and faint brewed coffee. Full, round mouthfeel, rich and smooth. The flavor is balanced between well-roasted malt and assertive (for the style) hops, with coffee and chocolate notes. While a very smooth brew, this CW Seasonal Release is robust and full-flavored rather than the more subtle dry creaminesss of classic Irish stouts. Like Guinness with a brash Irish-American attitude."
