The Old Port Winter Ale has brought inner warmth and happiness to both Mainers and those from away for the past several winters. The 7.3% ABV makes our winter seasonal a Strong Ale by style. But the deep mahogany color, thick foamy head, solid malt body, and assertive hop flavor make it a worthy reward for reaching the end of another Maine winter's day.

"It was ok.. I wanted it to be a bit stronger than it was and I did not notice any of the cherry tones that were described. It tasted ok. I thik I can pass on this beer. A tan head that last a bit. Medium body but the flavor lacked something. "

"From a bottle. Pours a clear brown with an off-white head. Aroma of malts and some spice. Not very strong though. Flavor is pretty typical. Malty with a nice hoppiness at the back. Some spice undertone as well. An ok beer."

"Old port ale was like a spiced esb........a good beer throughout. Nothing to blow you away, just brewed in good taste. This had a toffee color with some attractive lacing. A fruity aroma and malty notes of bread and caramel, with some lightly sweet candy notes and bitter peppery spice. a medium body. Overall a tasty flavor and surprisingly refreshing"
