Brewed after the German style with a little higher alcohol percentage. Brewed with roasted barley which gives it a darker color and a characteristic malty taste.

"Pours a golden colour with some copper in it. The fizzy white head has good retention and lace. Quite foamy and wavy, looks like mountains. Medium carbonation. Alcohol is really present in the nose, with some grain malt and hop bitterness. Oily mouthfeel. The taste is not bad though, but light (like all of their other brews so far). Slightly bitter, slightly dry, with a half chemical aftertaste and some metal. Not as bad as it sounds, but would rather try the cask version of this brew, at 4.8% ABV."

"An ok altbier, nothing good by any stretch but not bad. I really hope not to waste my time anymore with bad breweries like Budels. This beer is limited I think in its style, quaffable but not very favourable. "

"Bottle: Poured a light dark beer with an average head with very little retention. Aroma is a bit weak with some malt being noticeable. Taste is different then some previous Alt I tried before and includes some roastiness and some bitterness at the ends. There is an overall watery feeling that leave a disappointing taste in my mouth which is deceiving since this one had promises as opposed to other Budels products."
