"First of all, I don't think spiced ale is a good way to categorize this porter. Anyway, I really enjoyed this this beer. I was afraid the vanilla would be too pronounced, but it wasn't. It was noticeable, but I'd say the amount was perfect. Not as thick and full-bodied as some other porters, but nice none the less. Very dark, with a decent light to medium brown head. Aroma (and a bit of flavor) of coffee, with taste notes also of nuts and raisins. Very nice."

"When I ordered this on Draft at the Ale House and after taking one drink I asked them to pour half of it out and add another porter to it. I LOVE VANILLA PORTERS, this one is way too sweet and taste way to fake. If you happen to like this one please Try "dark side of the moon" from Empryean ales in Lincoln nebraska...It will blow this away"

"A little disappointed in this beer. I was hoping for a thicker beer. Aroma of chocolate and vanilla with dark brown beer. Minimal head with a lot of vanilla flavor. "

"I thought this would of been a nice porter if not for the Vanilla taste, quite overpowering. Atleast now i have tried a vanilla beer and now have that out of my system. Won't drink one of them again, unless offered another free one."

"This porter is rightly named because the vanilla flavoring is definitely the dominant flavor. I usually don't like the very sweet porters, but this one is pretty good. I recommend this one to anyone who likes porters and vanilla extract."
