Rich, round and roasted, our stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

"An awkward stout, nothing seemed to hold my interest with this brew. Roasted malt aroma with warm milk and smoked vegetables, peculiar to say the least. Dark brown pour with a thin tan head and nice lacing. The body of this beer seems flat. Medium bodied with a thin finish, too light for a stout. Bitter, toasted flavor that is a diluted let down. Hints of mild coffee and nuts. Drinkable, but not a stout that I will look for in the future."

"When I get the sampler pack, this usually is the last beer that I drink. It does not have a good flavor or aftertaste, and I don't recommend this beer."

"Pours a rich, appetizing sable-brown with a thick tan head that persists for a bit. Aroma is very inviting, smoky and stouty with a hint of molasses. Texture is not as rich as I expected, but the flavor is delicious and smoky with hints of coffee and brown sugar, and a nice bitter hoppy nip in the finish. I am fond of oatmeal stouts, and if this is not the best one I have ever tried it is still a winner."

"Pours a dark chocolate with a medium sized khaki head. Aromas of oatmeal cookies and almonds. Flavors a little lighter then i expected, but pleasent, silky- not as creamy as i usually like my oat stouts. A little weak at times."

[5] Review by Cottrell from Ledyard, CT, USA who has tried this beer once. (9/13/2007 7:42:11 PM)
"Well, this isn't very good, now is it? Pours near black with red tinges, and a thin dark tan head. Odd aroma of toffee, hay, and charcoal. Very watery on the front of the palate, some light toffee notes, bitter chocolate, some grassiness, and some lactic character in the finish. Extremely watery mouthfeel, why the hell is an oatmeal stout so thin and flavorless? Thumbs down."
