"Sat July 11th 10:03 Death of BP .... Stranglely punching bag sweet ... hides the ABV quite well ... very good head for such a high alcohol level .. warms the belly ... 'i don't give a crap about woodstock' ... 1st brew from LS .. decent aroma .. an enjoyable beer that went down quite easily .. perpahs a little rough around the edges..."

"Sweet, malty brew with a gigantic kick. The cloudy brown body, light head and carbonation hides the warming alcoholic bite this one has as it goes down."

"Oh dear god is this sweet. Luckily, it has a "tart carbonation" (a coinage of my buddy who brought it) that counters it a little. We all agreed this was better than the Samiclaus. This beer had body to it, and the alcohol heat was hidden better, but man, is it sweet. It took several of us to finish one bottle; no wonder it comes in such a small size. I will not be purchasing this on my own, that's for sure. 9-20-08: I let the last bottle from that BBQ sit in my fridge for a couple of months to see what happens to it. The sweetness mellows quite a bit, gains a REALLY alcoholic-tinged apple cider aroma, and as it warms, some heavy spices come out. The alcohol is a bit much to bear on the tongue and in the nose at first, but either my senses dulled or it mellowed after "breathing" for awhile."

"Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is alcohol, malts, caramel and some slightfruitys also. Flavour is really caramel malty with a stinging alcohol coming through in a warming way. Also quite much toffee and slight notes of grass. "

"at first i was skeptical about this beer with the 13%ALC, but it was no that bad. i mean right away im gathering up sences of wheat and grain, with some hints of grape juice. it poured a deep yellow Orange like color, with the sediment still floating around. has a nice carmel smooth head. you can really taste the grape juice like flavor which seems to have some notes of spices. keeps the back of my mouth felling tingaly.~~"
