A brew that gives you either sympathy for the devil or the courage to face him. Goes especially well with your favorite lost my girl/truck/dog/trailer song.

"Woopty Woop! Great name, great beer. Pours a thick muddy dark brownish black colour with no head. Lacing left behind is sticky, resinous and turns crusty within a couple minutes of emptying the glass. Aroma is of smoke, oak, black licorice, coffee beans and earth. Taste is full, sweet, thick on the palate- again dark fruits and bbq, coffee notes and caramel. I only drank half of it before i accidentally kicked it all over the living room floor."

"Pours out jet black with a brown head that lasts, with some lacing. Has an interesting smell, mixture of many things. Tastes chocolatey and a bit nutty. A bit of alcohol taste stands out. Pretty full bodied. Nice lingering aftertaste of chocolate and alcohol."

"Pours out in a hazy dark brown colour with a small tan head. Yeasty and powdery aroma of cocoapowder, almond and old leather. Sweet and ueasty flavour of melted chocolate and almonds. Finishes quite sweet of syrup and dusty yeasts. Interesting take on the style but it’s a bit too sweet but still drinkable."

"Bottle courtesy nolankowal via trade. Dark brown, stout-like colored pour, tan to choco colored head that is thin, subsiding quickly to a ring around the edges of the glass at the beer/air/glass interface. The aroma is roasty, caramel, dark fruits, some alcohol also. The flavor is roasted choco, some even burnt choco, light ash, dark fruits, licorice, dry light sprucey / pine needle type spices at the end. Mouthfeel is a little acidic and dry, perhaps not as fully attenuated as it could be, yet not candi-sugared up. A neat beer, a better twist on a stout (even a Belgian-style stout) than a dubbel, but whatever. Thanks, John, for the trade!"

"Pours darker than I expected, fully black, with creamy, lasting head. Notes of ripe berry and strong coffee abound. Lightly smoked malt comprises the base flavor with vanilla, coffee, mint, then flowery topnotes. Full bodied, velvety mouthfeel with ample carbonation and moderate warming effect."
