"I had one at lunch 12/22/08, Bells makes some of my favorite beers,.
and this was a new one for Me. I've had the winter wheat and rate it average. So My expectations may have been low, I was pleasantly surprised
by a very good Ale."

"Oh I really love this time of year. For more than one reason! As we once again depart on another holiday beer journey. Bells Christmas Ale has a nice coppery bronze to light brown hue that sits under a very thin non-existent head. Scents of fresh cream, truffles, tobacco and caramel rise from the brew's confines. On the tongue, tastes of grass, & other organic flavors wake you up, as this smooth refreshing liquid puts you in the Holiday spirit. I would say that Bell's Christmas Ale is a lighter version of holiday seasonal, with not as much intensity with the spice thing. Not bad, but not my favorite for the season either.

"On tap at the Trivia pub, good wings there! Big creamy head. Smell is a little vanilla. Cloudy brown iced tea color. Flattish on the palate with little carbonation. Some interesting earthy flavors. Slight malt bitterness. Has a few identifiable Christmas spices. Not bad for a Christmas brew. "

"Ruddy, rusty red with a light khaki head. The aroma is lightly sweet with mango and some amaretto. There is also a little bit of bread crust. The taste has light bread crust and pecans. There was a little bit of orange peels. The body is light and bright with just enough sharp carbonation. "

"Saw this in my local liquor store and couldn't pass it up. I was not disappointed. Has a nice blend of maltiness and spices, with a bit of hops. Will be getting this one again soon."
