This is a German style dark lager. Our interpretation is a brown colored beer with a dark malt character that is only slightly roasty. It is mildly hopped-just enough to balance it well. Very smooth due to cold fermentation and conditioning it is made with all German malts, English Northdown hops and our standard lager yeast strain. A dark beer for those that don't think they like dark beer.

"Dark black color. Small to no head. Aroma is roasted malt with a hint of chocolate. A medium bodied Schwarzbier. Malts are roasty and slightly chocolately. Hops are slightly spicy. Nice lighter dark lager. It retains the dark aspect while having that light and refreshing aspect. Nicely balanced, perhaps a touch watery. Mouthfeel is a touch thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, with a touch of alcohol bite. "
